This is a good way to earn some extra money. If you are not using the property the best thing to do is to rent it out. However before you rent the property you need certain preparations especially if it is a house or office. A property can not be rented if it is not in the proper condition.
First of all do a survey to find out the problems with your property. Check the roof, walls and the floor. Basics like heating, plumbing, electricity also needs attention. If you need professional services call timber, roofers and dam specialists. When all these works are done finally get rid of all the dust and paint your house. In order to rent your property you should make it attractive.

That's what I'm doing right now, i have plenty of property that are rented, but I'm also planning to buy property and place them on the market for sale.

Insurance.

Make sure you have plenty of it and make sure it covers everything you can!

I don’t do leases at all, but a friend of the family, Patricia, contacted me about renting a condo or a duplex a few days ago. She is going to school and wanted to move in with her sister who is also a student. The leasing company wanted income statements from both of them,  stating that are earning 3 times the monthly rent EACH.  The place rents for $900 a month. The leasing company is requiring EACH of them to make $2700 a month, for a total of $5400 per month combined. Is this the norm? If they were a married couple would this be different? This just seems abnormal and expensive.

If you have plenty of property or unnecessary property you can sell it , earn money. It's really good for you.
So don't late . Go for buyer.
