As with any investment idea, you are going to have a lot of so called specialists who focus on the risk associated with such investments. Real estate investment is no exception to this rule.

Historically Real estate has perfomed well as an investment model, but as with every type of investment it's not without risk.  If you can ride out the lows, you should do well though.
